Ministers assist the priest in sharing the body and blood of Jesus with fellow parishioners. This is done during the Eucharistic liturgy, communion and word services, and visits to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and homebound parishioners. Extraordinary ministers are called to do so in a prayerful, humble, and respectful manner. Open to men, women, and youth of the parish who have received the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation).
