TOPIC: The Wild Goose Series on the Holy Spirit with Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR
“Wild Goose” was a term that the ancient Celts had for the Holy Spirit. This is a 14-part series exploring different aspects of the Holy Spirit. It is shot in various locations around the world. If you allow him, the Wild Goose will lead you on an adventure greater than you can imagine. The Spirit will lead you to a place of mercy, healing, peace, and presence. The Holy Spirit has been given to us not as a possession to be tamed or controlled, but rather as a Person that will lead us to the Heart of God. The Wild Goose series will help you experience a deeper relationship with the Person of the Holy Spirit, and as you come to experience God’s presence and power this very same Spirit will transform you and bring you freedom.
Dates/Times/Place:
Mondays face-to-face January 8, 15, 22, 29; Feb. 5, 12, 19,2 6; March 4, 11, 18; April 8, 22, 29. May 6 is a snow date.
We will be meeting in the Parish Life Center and have both a daytime session and an evening session. Participants may attend either. Daytime will be 9:30-11:00 am and evenings will be 7-8:30 pm.
Materials:
- Participants will receive the 16 page study booklet which is in a pdf format. Otherwise there is no cost for this series. The website is: www.thewildgooseisloose.com.
- You will need a Bible—we recommend either the New American Catholic Edition or the Revised Standard Catholic Edition. A copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) is also helpful. Both of these are available at no cost online at the www.usccb.org website.
