Our Lady of Perpetual Help, through the Grove City Ministers Fellowship, is once again requesting your support of the White Christmas Food program. This food program helps the needy of Southwest Franklin County by supplying them non-perishable food items for Christmas. 

This year, Our Lady will serve as the main sort and distribution site. We will met at Our Lady in the Parish Life Center on Wednesday and Thursday, December 20 and 21 at 9:15 am to pick up food items from the schools. The food will be sorted on Thursday, December 21 at 6 pm. The boxes will be filled Friday, December 22 starting at 6 pm. The boxes will be distributed on Saturday, December 23 from 12 Noon to 4 pm. Tuesday, December 27 from 8:30 am, we will be taking all food items not needed for our program to the Grove City Food Pantry. Many families volunteer together to create a Christmas tradition of helping the less fortunate. We will have masks, sanitizer, and gloves available for each volunteer. 

Each recipient family will receive a box of assorted food items that include fruit, hams, bacon, chicken, eggs, butter, bread, potatoes and many non-perishable food items. Last year, 94 boxes were distributed. 

Your Knights of Columbus, Council 4603, is doing the coordination of this Ministerial Fellowship outreach program. Many organizations and groups help out including Grove City Food Pantry members, students and the Boy and Girl Scouts. Every school and church in the Grove City area again has been asked to gather non-perishable food items in December for us to collect.

The community’s response over the years has been outstanding.  Sufficient food was collected last year to fill our boxes as well as donating over 36,000 food items to the Grove City Food Pantry.
