Welcome to Our Lady of Perpetual Help!

We are blessed that you have chosen to join with us, as we have with you, in your faith journey – as together we live out our parish vision to form and send intentional, missionary disciples. Our mission, informed by this vision, is nothing short of the Great Commandment to Love God, Love Others; and to fulfill the Great Commission: Make Disciples.

Here at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, we are a Catholic Christian community of disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ calls everyone on a journey to know him, and what matters is not where a person is on that journey, but just that they are actually on the journey itself.

Therefore, we seek to welcome all people regardless of where they are on this spiritual journey, their struggles, or failures. We simply ask that you walk with us and be open to what God might be calling you to.

What to expect from Our Lady:

  • Dynamic and uplifting liturgies
  • A place where you will experience transformation to become more and more the person God created you to be.
  • A place where you will be valued and recognized as having unique gifts and talents for the service of God.
  • A place where you will be given the opportunity to put your God-given talents to help others and to make the world a better place.
  • A place where you will be loved and supported in your spiritual journey regardless of the messiness and struggles of your life.
  • A place where your needs will be listened to and addressed.
  • A place where your input is valued.
  • A place where your financial contributions will be honored and put to work for the building up of the Kingdom of God with transparency and accountability.
  • A place to call home.

We invite you, no matter where you are on your journey of discipleship, to immerse yourself in these five commitments:

Worshipping – as we desire to in all things and all ways be centered in Christ, each of us participates consciously and actively in the worship and prayer life of the community, especially the weekly Eucharist, as well as personal prayer and the full sacramental life of the Church.

Growing – as we seek always to be equipped well for discipleship, each of us are committed to a lifelong journey of human and spiritual growth, to be formed in our faith during each season of our lives.

Serving – as our faith compels us to the mission of evangelization (the Great Commission to “go, make, teach, baptize), each of us serves the mission of the Church in some concrete, meaningful way, especially caring for the poor and marginalized.

Giving – as our Catholic tradition invites us into a lifestyle of stewardship, each of us are “intentional givers” – sacrificially and proportionally sharing our time, talent and treasure.

Connecting – as discipleship is lived in relationship, each of us is engaged in the parish family through some small group commitment, where holy encounter with Jesus and with others is lived, cherished, and a source of encouragement.

These five commitments of an intentional, missionary disciple appear as a challenge to each of us in our parish family, as they in a sense form the expectations of parish membership.  They also appear as the focus of our energy as a parish staff, since attention to these areas are how we work as ministers to help form every member of our family in discipleship.

Help us Get to Know You!

Our parish staff is both talented and dedicated and fully committed to walking with you on your faith journey.  I invite you to call our office to schedule a brief meeting with one of our staff members so that we can get to know you and your family, and learn how we can help you on your road to discipleship.

Mass: What to Expect

If you have never been to Mass before, or if you haven't gone in a long time, we are excited to have you join us as we celebrate and worship together. We understand that it may feel foreign at first, and that some parts might seem confusing. The last thing we would want is for you to feel unwelcome during the service, so we have created a little guide for you to help you understand the liturgy a little better.
