Festival News Update 7.31.2021

The countdown to the festival is now on as we enter the month of August! It’s never too early to sign up and volunteer in one of the numerous areas that are displayed on clipboards in the gathering space. Plus, the Sign Up Genius is up and running on the festival website for those who are adept in navigating the online maze. The volunteering of your time and talent will enhance the success of the festival. We still have over 400 available slots, so please sign up!

Raffle tickets are still a hot item! You can turn in your raffle tickets in the gathering space as well as pick up a supply of extra tickets. You can also mail them in or drop them off at the parish office. The second Early Bird winner of $100 is Danette Jones. Congratulations, Danette!

It’s now a last minute call to become a festival sponsor. Thus far, we have received $32,000 in sponsorship commitment, plus those who are providing services in kind. We are very grateful for their support that will make this event more presentable and contribute to its financial success. The updated list and level of sponsorship is at right.

The entertainment for the festival is in place, along with a new entertainment stage that will be assembled by Wanner Metalworx. It features Tom Cash, followed by Danny and the Linders on Friday evening, while These Guys Live will be the main attraction on Saturday evening.

With respect to good grub, there will be several food trucks that include Schmidt’s, Mi Tradicion, and Skyward Grille; plus Iacobucci’s Wood Fired Pizza, Three Brothers Diner, Donato’s Pizza, and our K of C offering a value meal.

This weekend you can beat the line at the festival by pre-purchasing vouchers for the festival rides. You will be able to do so in the gathering space. The voucher, sold for $20, can be redeemed to receive a wrist band good for one night of unlimited rides.

Lastly, Silent Auction items are arriving, and packages are being assembled, along with some individual goods that will be offered separately. It’s not too late to donate. You can see a number of the packages that have been assembled by going to the Festival website. Diane Walker is the Silent Auction Queen, and she can be reached at 614.271.7555 or walker199@ameritech.net.

The festival will be held on Friday, August 20, and Saturday, August 21, from 6 pm to midnight. Come one, and come all!

Festival News 07.18.2021

This weekend, in conjunction with the arrival of our new pastor, Fr. Joe Yokum, the pitch for the festival will become more visible, as well as vocal. He is not shy about asking for your help in making this event a wonderful parish activity, as well as rolling up his sleeves in lending a helping hand. In the gathering space, there will be festival volunteers staffing tables and having clipboards on which you sign up to volunteer in a particular area. You can also sign up on the parish website. It’s a special way to extend a spirit of hospitality to the Grove City Community

Also, at the tables you will be able to turn in your raffle tickets that you should have received. There’s also a good supply of extra tickets that are yours for the asking. The first Early Bird drawing of $100 will take place Monday.
