At all of the Masses this past weekend, Father Jim gave this announcement:
“My Dear Brothers and Sisters: Perhaps you have heard it said, “The only constant in life is change.” Together this year we have gone through changes that have transformed us as children of God and as a parish. I have been going through my own, personal changes as I try to listen to where God is calling me. And so, after a process of careful prayer and discernment, I am announcing to you that on Tuesday, October 27 I will be leaving Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish and will be moving to St. Mary of the Assumption parish in Lancaster, Ohio.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help has been a wonderful assignment, and it is very bittersweet to be leaving. I will miss you all dearly, but I am also looking forward to what God has in store for me. Between now and October 27 we will have time to say our goodbyes. In the meantime, may God continue to bless us all.”
We are extremely sad that Father Jim will be leaving us, but we are glad that he is following God’s call in his life. Please pray for him as he makes this transition!
