Mass in the Grass Details

Posted On: Friday, June 26 12:00 am

This Sunday is our celebration for the Feast Day of Our Lady of Perpetual Help! Our plan is to have our usual Mass in the Grass this Sunday, June 28 at 10 am in the field behind the school. Please bring your own lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on, as well as your own umbrellas or tents for shade. Although Mass is outside, we still encourage everyone who is capable of doing so to wear a mask. Due to coronavirus precautions, we will not have our usual picnic after Mass this year. Our celebration will simply consist of the outdoor Mass.

Note that all other Sunday Masses will be canceled that day, so the only Mass opportunities for the weekend of June 27 & 28 are Saturday at 5 pm in the Nave and Sunday at 10 am outdoors.

Parking

We will have plenty of parking available. Please note the following:

  • Golf carts will not be available for shuttling people from the parking lots this year.
  • Knights of Columbus parking attendants will be available to assist with parking vehicles.
  • General Parking is provided in the lots around the church and the lot IN FRONT of the school.
  • Handicap parking is in the lot BEHIND the school.
  • Overflow General Parking is on the RIGHT side of the gravel road which leads into the back grass lots.
  • People may walk through the school to attend Mass.
  • After Mass, parishioners may exit at EITHER SIDE of the school.

Streaming Mass this weekend

Great news! We will be live streaming the outdoor Mass this weekend! As usual, it will be available via our YouTube channel. Please note that this means we will not have a Mass available online until 10 am on Sunday morning. To access the Mass livestream, please follow this link. The worship aid for this weekend can be found in the bulletin, or at this link.

Weather Concerns

As of right now, rain is in the forecast for Sunday. We will make the call early Sunday morning whether to keep Mass outdoors or move everything inside. Everyone will be notified via email, social media, and on our website if we make the call to move the Mass back indoors. If you don’t hear anything, assume that Mass is still outside. We will have plenty of overflow seating set up in the Life Center so that social distancing regulations will still be followed.

We look forward to celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help with you!
